Wow, now that's an impressive agate! It looks like a stained glass window and is absolutely gorgeous. Great score, Rock! 8-)

Once i discovered the Iris effect, I'll always hold slabs up to the sun during examination for selection. I should spend a little time cutting some of what ive picked up, someday. Lord knows I have tons more agates & jaspers than opals, despite spending less time looking. if the agate was real good around here, it would be picked up & published for the fame, right? I definitely find some out of the way areas. Need to find my camera again.

Some can be found in BC. I have to start cutting some slabs of the clear fortification agate I've picked up over the years to see if it has that effect. So far nothing in my stash.

The thickness of the slab varies a little but i think its on the thick side to get the prismatic effect. Some day Ill find the camera again, LOL. Need to start making piles to go to AZ too. I think this is my last year unless I get a partner to do all the heavy lifting preferably with young cute sales persons too for the win. The knees have said the last year of weight was the last. Still got family & college pals to visit down there & other opal claim owners too. We also like gold. Need something to set opal in.

Rock, that is a stunning slab! I've never seen one like it before and it really is impressive. 8-)

When you're posting pics that are uploaded elsewhere, just right click on the pic and click to copy the image location, and then when you get here you only need to drop the link between the [img] brackets. You don't need the Url at all. ;)
