Well, the judging is over so why not, eh? Here ya go.
On the Wings of Forever
Coober Pedy opalized shell carving - front
9 ct. and 27x22x3.5 mm
On the Wings of Forever - Coober Pedy opalized shell carving - back
And this is a pretty photo but it's just the light reflecting through it again.
A Rose by the Sea
Coober Pedy opalized shell carving - Front
21.6 ct and 28x22x9 mm
I kept an homage to the shell on the backside.
The "gold" in this photo is just light reflecting through the carving. Sure makes a pretty photo!!
Another, couldn't resist. The "gold" is just light reflecting through the carving.
And light shining through the back.

They're both outstanding, KJ! I don't even think I could choose between them.

TY!! I have no clue when we'll find out. It's now the weekend over there and I think the festival still has a day left.

Love them both Kurt, but particularly fond of the dragon head.

I love them both too, Kurt, but I'm partial to the dolphin and mermaid.

Re: Australian opal competition
Here was my entry I sent in, "making waves". A reference to the shape of the waves and because it was welo not Australian opal. It's what I had at the time... Sorry I don't have stills as I rushed it out to the IOJDAA but I have my video I made:
Maybe we'll get lucky and they send us some professional photos of our pieces... That would be sweet because my opal pictures never really work out for the best of the stone a and the colors!
Kurt and KJ, they do look awesome!
