Steve found this video and sent it to me, and this professor is showing the mineral collection that belonged to Nobel Prize winner CV Raman, inventor of the Raman Spectroscope, among other things. His mineral collection is extensive, and he shows opals because he must have had us in mind , as well as some fluorescent minerals, and even some that were in Hiroshima when the A-bomb went off; and when you see the diamond slices near the end of the video, try to imagine the size of the diamonds they were cut from.
