that took a bit of work..
as you can see, the wheels do a pretty good job.
now i am contending with what are inclusions... ie. they look like cracks but are too deep
then the false inclusion.. looks like a crack, but at the right angle, they give out color
you would think they were weak, but i have discovered that the kind i am talking about, are not..
next... diamond paste..
i have .5 to 40
any suggestions from the experts in freeform?

I love the colors in it, as well as the shape, but I'm not so sure about the base color. Is it a brownish base?

Those sure do look pretty. Nice polishing job Art. I dont mean to offend you by what Im about to say LOL Ok Pink. Dont be bringing any of the Pink shoe/Green shoe or blue dress/gold dress stuff around here. We all know there is only one shade for each color in opal, black and not black. LOL That color is obviously puke, I mean pistachio, I mean Avocado, I mean off green. Its not gold, tea or definitely gasoline like so much Aussie stuff using the Java descriptor or white which is the bulk of opals sold around the world. We get called brown all the time even if the range goes from Cherry, Lemon, Lime or Pink Pastels. The diffuse play of color also gives the hues various tones. Pick a color. Like the sunstones that are not orange and are not green but at both at the same time.
