The IIJA Registered Gemologist Appraiser Program is the world leader in gemology and jewelry appraisal education with courses designed, developed and produced by licensed insurance professionals, and gemologists holding the world's top gemology credentials. Our program consists of an expanded list of courses that are not available from any other gemology or appraisal education organization, making us truly unique in the field of appraisal education. Our program is presented as fully migrated HTML5 mobile friendly courses you can study anywhere with virtually any computer or mobile device. This complete program includes eight (8) courses in gemology and jewelry appraisal (listed below) that are taken as a single payment Program Registration, or through our new Individual Course Program. It includes the full Classroom-At-Home lecture series of study. This program is for those who wish to study gemology and personal property appraisal specializing in jewelry and gemstones, or those in the gemstone industry or wishing to enter the gemstone industry and would like a proper education in the evaluation of jewelry and gemstones. Successful completion of this program awards the student the IIJA Registered Gemologist Appraiser title.

IIJA RGA Practicals Module
The IIJA Practicals Module provides you with hand's-on experience by sending you a large collection of diamonds, pearls, colored gemstones and a special collection of Created and Treated Gemstones provided to us from Chatham Created Gems. We provide this collection for you to get hand's-on practice of your skills, right in your own home. No need to make expensive and time consuming trips to take your practicals, like other schools. With our Classroom-At-Home program we send the gemstones and diamonds to you in a single complete package for grading and evaluation once you have completed all courses in gemology for your RGA. We will grade your work and help you become the finest gemologist possible at the world’s lowest cost. The IIJA Practicals Module is included with your single payment course package, and available as a stand-alone module for those taking the Individual Course program.
IIJA Certificates, Diploma, Support Services and 2 Year Re-Certification Program
Certificates and Diplomas: A Certificate of Completion is awarded to the student after successful completion of each course. The Registered Gemologist and Registered Gemologist Appraiser diplomas are awarded after completing all courses, final exams, and practical exams. Final exam includes online written exam and a practical gem identification exam sent to you for completion and return to the IIJA office.
Registry of Gemologist Appraisers: Through our Jewelry Adjuster partnership in the insurance industry, the IIJA maintains a Registry of our Registered Gemologist Appraisers and Registered Gemologists to the insurance industry.
Advanced Insurance and Gemological Lab Support: The IIJA maintain outreach programs to the local insurance industry for our graduates. Additionally, we provide advanced gemological lab services to our graduates to help them maintain top level credentials and services within their market regions.
2 Year Re-Certification: The IIJA Registered Gemologist Appraiser and Registered Gemologist titles require re-certification every 2 years. The re-certification process includes a refresher course, updates on the latest industry developments and an exam to insure the title holder is up to date with the latest information and developments of the industry. This is standard operating procedure of all insurance related industries to maintain professional standards.
IIJA Logo and Link: It is also required that RGA and RG title holders maintain the IIJA logo and link on their websites as part of the graduate support of the IIJA.
IIJA Gem Equipment Package
The IIJA Registered Gemologist Appraiser Program Practicals Module will require you to either own, or have access to, a minimum level of gemology testing equipment. These tools are crucial to your being able to complete the hands-on section of the program.
The complete equipment package, including a starter IIJA StudyGem Reference Set of 5 faceted gemstones, is available from the IIJA office for $795.00. This is a special price for IIJA Registered Students only. We make this important equipment package available at this low price to insure our students get professional quality equipment at the lowest price.
Equipment is not required until you complete all of your course work, so this can be purchased at the time of registration, or it can be purchased after you complete your course program and are ready to take your Practicals Module.

This is the single payment tuition registration for the IIJA Registered Gemologist Appraiser Program. This includes all 8 courses, and all practicals and exams, and the Gem Equipment Package as shown on the RGA Page. Please allow up to 24 hours for your New Student File to be complete, and your access codes and information sent. Gem equipment required to complete the program is included in this package but will require up to 4 weeks to be delivered to you due to current inventory shortage. You do not need equipment until you complete all course work.
