I would like to issue a special congratulations to US Military Veteran, Anthony Snodgrass, RG of Kent Jewelry in Rolla Missouri for earning the ISG Registered Gemologist diploma through our Military Veterans Scholarship Program.
Each year the ISG provides full scholarships including ISG Gem Equipment packages to US Military Veterans in the jewelry industry who would benefit from formal training. The ISG has a commitment to cause to help our military veterans wherever we can.
Below is Old Glory, flown over Bagram AB and FOB Finley Shields, by the US Marine Corps to thank us for our work to support soldiers who were getting ripped off buying gemstones in the bazaars around Bagram AB and various Forward Operating Bases. We provided thousands of training DVDs and gem tools free to all soldiers serving in the Afghanistan operating region to help them with gemstone shopping at the local bazaars.
We also support Wounded Warrior Project and other causes.
The ISG Military Veterans Scholarship Program is open to all honorably discharged military veterans who served overseas deployments in conflict zones. Robert James, FGA, GG. President, ISG.
