One of several new tools that arrived today. Called a head knife, it's used mainly for making straight cuts in leather, but can cut wide turns with ease, and tighter turns with practice. Head knives are razor sharp, and if not careful can easily cause a serious injury. The first pic shows it with its protective leather sheath in place.

I'd probably hurt myself with something like that right off the bat. Just yesterday I accidentally stuck a sharp knife into the tip of my thumb. Thank God I saw what was happening and pulled my hand away fast so it's not as deep as it would have been.
It's very nice, but stay safe when that thing's unsheathed.

Those coming from Bulgaria are expensive, but some of the nicest I've ever seen. I'll have 8 more from there arriving today.
