Parmigiani Fleurier Turns 25, Launches Tonda PF Collection To Celebrate

"Parmigiani Fleurier was launched in 1996, born out of founder Michel Parmigiani’s passion for watchmaking, classical culture, and nature. Now, to celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Fleurier, Switzerland–based company is debuting the Tonda PF collection.
The 25-piece limited-edition collection is being marketed to a sophisticated watch-loving community—those that value excellence over opulence and ornamentation. Yet the company has not shirked on attention to detail, so that the collection’s design and texture is still pleasing, no matter where the eye lands on the watches.
The timepieces’ designs are inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical formula associated with the golden ratio. The sequence, which shows up in nature and is especially pleasing to human eyes, provides the guideline for the size of the watches’ hands and counters, the curvature of its lugs, its case proportions, and other design details.
The collection includes the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor, a slim, pared-down, high-end two-hander with a platinum micro-rotor; the Tonda PF Chronograph, which features an almost flush dial and an integrated high frequency chronograph movement; and the Tonda PF Annual Calendar, a new pared-down design with a retrograde date display. All three models are available in steel with platinum hand-knurled bezel or crafted entirely in 18k rose gold.

At the top of the collection is an exceptional timepiece: the Tonda PF Split Seconds Chronograph, which gives prominence to the best craftsmanship available at Parmigiani Fleurier. The case and bracelet of this timepiece are crafted in platinum.
