Couture Launches New Website, Adds Swatch Group Brands to Show

"New York—The Couture show has a new online look, just ahead of its 2021 edition.

The show’s new website, TheCOUTUREshow.com, launched earlier this summer after more than a year in development.

Designed to “reflect the dynamism and creativity of the Couture community,” the mobile-optimized site features an editorial-focused platform that invites visitors to read, watch and listen.

There are articles, videos and podcasts highlighting the designers, brands, retailers, and press that are shaping the designer fine jewelry and luxury timepiece industries.

Gannon Brousseau, Couture director and executive vice president of Emerald, called the new site a “celebration of creativity.”

“We’re so excited to have the opportunity to shine a light on the creative processes, dynamic personalities and stunning designs that make Couture so distinctive,” he said.

“This editorial perspective will allow us to contextualize the relevance of our designers, brands, retailers and media in the larger jewelry and timepiece landscape.”

In addition to editorial content, the new Couture website features sponsored content as well as an area dedicated to show information and logistics.

Simon Mortimer of New York-based ABD (Associates by Design), a firm that specializes in brand identity, digital development, and content creation, designed the site.

In addition to the launch of its new site, Couture just announced that four Swatch Group brands will be joining its roster of 25 watch exhibitors.

Longines, Rado, Tissot and Hamilton will have a space in a Couture villa, marking Swatch Group’s first in-person event since 2019.

“For the first time since 2019, Swatch Group is looking forward to re-engaging with in-person trade fairs,” said Arnaud Michon, country manager, Swatch Group USA.

“We feel confident that Couture is the ideal venue for connecting with our retail partners to present the newest collections from some of our elite brands, and to foster relationships with friends and colleagues in a relaxed and luxurious environment.”

Couture 2021 is scheduled to take place Aug. 24-26 at the Wynn Las Vegas, with a preview event scheduled for the evening of Aug. 23.

The show will be held in the new event space at the Wynn, which is located just beyond the Lafite Ballroom.

Jewelry and watch brands will exhibit together in one space, the Cristal Ballroom, with some brands exhibiting in private ballrooms below Cristal and others in private villas.
