Zuni silver necklace...

Post by m76steve »

Just bought a 1980's vintage zuni silver necklace, bracelet & earings set. the set was originally bought in Arizona by a buyer for the silver heron store in maryland. From what im told the markings put the pieces in the 1980's time because of the 'sterling' mark & not the .925 stamp in silver today. The inlay is beautifully done, length is 18.25" weight is 86.03 grams sterling for the necklace, the bracelet is 56.37 grams sterling w/inlay top notch, the earings are silver w/inlay with matching quality. Items as this are a fun wear, not too expensive & in this style not seen too often-for me, the right place at the right time-any comments welcome-steve...

Wow m76, that's the prettiest one I've ever seen, and I can't recall ever seeing one like it before. Another great score for you, kudos! :D

Nice find. I like the geometric style they use.

I severely dislike my phone picking words others type for me as I compose too. Every message has to be edited. I didnt notice any misspellings on my way to the pictures? You definitely deal us out a heaping portion of eye appeal which I for one will say "I appreciate all efforts". Sharing the best is what makes the rest, the rest, right? My big spends are finding cash for a roll of silver quarters or so each time. I am torn between which would be needed first food or fortune, but I do know from history... fortunes have a way of helping their owners to food besides forting up. Im deciding i want to spend some of my unique finds worth as much as look at them by myself. Having a nemesis hunt you, like a fatal disease, puts a little urgency into the equation. I do need to go thru the black opal collection and find suitable retirement gifts for both of my older brothers who pulled the plug on the rat race this year. Opal belt buckles or shelf display pieces as they are not bolo wearers.
