99.99% of opal carvings sold now are computer cut.

The rough goes to China, some bloke called wang looks at it and throws in in the , donkey, dolphin, turtle bucket etc.

Then Wong puts each piece in the machine, it cuts and polishes the mass produced product.

The designs are the give away, very Asian non European designs mostly..

I suppose there's nothing wrong with all of this if people know, but they don't.
