Bamboo Opals

The look to be smaller than i first thought they were. I was under the impression some actually were larger like a pea.
Bamboo Plant Opal Loudspeaker. The very name requires a second look. It certainly had me wondering what plant opal is, what it has to do with bamboo, and why it might be used to make speakers.

Tabasheer. Opal occurring as an organic by product. It forms by the hardening of a secretion issued from certain bamboo, forming a porous, rounded mass of Opal.

Wow, that's an extensive list, and I had no idea opal is in bamboo, nor did I know about the skeeters, so much appreciated. Just an FYI for everyone, both links lead to the same page, and I'm really glad you found this so we have this resource on the forum. Thanks so much John! :)
