May we please have a Carving forum for our carvers and Creations forum for jewelry creations, such as wire-wrapping, soldering, metal clay, silver work and other pretties?

Absolutely! That's a wonderful idea and is just the kind of input we're looking for right now. Chris will have to do it for us later today or tomorrow, since he's still busy moving his family to the new location, so I'll ask him to do it.

After all, I also do carvings...LOL, in fact, I own gemcarver.ca, but haven't developed it yet

I've created two carving categories, one is opals only, and one is non-opals for everything else.
If you think this is OK, I'll leave it as is, if you want only one carving category, lemme know and I'll change it, I don't want to confuse or make it complicated, but ensure that things are organized correctly.

Having two cutting as well as carving sections is perfect, Chris. Since our main passion is opals, we feature them in their own area, and the others, as wonderful as they are, can be lumped together in the Gemstone section.

We don't have a section for jewelry yet, or jewelrymaking, wirework, metal clay, soldering etc as gingie mentioned, so why don't we add a section dedicated to Jewelry, with Jewelrymaking, Wirework, Metal Clay and Soldering sub-headers to start, and people can let us know if there are other topics they would like covered that doesn't fall into those categories. I think it's a great idea so people can post their creations, ask for tips, give us instruction, and show us how they made them. Sound good?
