Coin rings.

Post by Rockranger »

I decided to try a new venture and go with making coin rings. Made my first one and it went rather good except for a couple errors, made a few corrections and popped off my second one. I gave the first one to my oldest kid and he posted it on facebook. Told me last night he had 30 likes within an hour. Showed a couple buddies how they came out and now have a couple requests for some to be made for a fee. ;)
I have a very nice 1812 commemorative toonie, some silver dollars and etc..... with lots of art on the coins. Those should look superb when done.Post them when I finish them.
The first pic was my first ring.
The rest shows how I did it and the results of my second one.
Enjoy.

Very nice RR. Always nice when a kid appreciates a gift from a parent too! Much better when it was made with love.

Thanks Lydia. They seem to be doing well for sales. Sold 4 of them and only started 2 days ago making them.

That's great Rock! How long does it take you to make one, and how much are you selling them for? Just curious because they look fantastic, so I hope you're getting a decent amount for your work. ;)

I'm wondering though do you think you might get into trouble for defacing Canadian currency??

What coins are you talking of????  Not worried, been there before once or twice. 8-) I havent even destroyed 20 bucks worth. A million I can see them coming after me.
Pink, I sold them for 25 bucks and 30 for the commemorative toonie, because I have to buy them online and they cost me 5 for a 2 dollar coin. I would say 1 hour give or take.
