just bought this pretty @ 3 weeks ago, lightning ridge, 7.3ct, N6, B3.5, really good colors throughout, good polish & a good price. from what im seeing value wise retail in the $15-20,000/stone range, if im wrong please advise, value is hard to give from a picture. the stone will be in pendent in next few days. measure is 18x11x6mm-steve...

Thats real pretty. Maybe somebody that regularly sells gemstones for more than $1,000 a ct can answer. Nobody ever paid me to become an expert in pricing good opal realistically. I wish I could help but our reputations have been ruined over the century to the point Im leaving the rough in the ground uncut for now.
