The Virgin Valley you sent me back didn't crack or fall apart after you were done. Nobody has bought one yet. I don't remember ever seeing any pictures of what you kept either? Be nice to see what the rest was if you have a camera. I'm up to my neck in alligators at present which way to use the situation here. If they close the refuge to all mining and people continue to use the opals up cutting and specimens, I would have been smart to stick with the mining end and worry about sales later in an inflated market. On the other hand "somebody" is smearing me online trying to get a slander suit against ME, if i retaliated in kind. I'll stick to sharing others facts published online as needed in replys before the posts are deleted.

So the lowlife is still attacking you publicly. I wish there was some way we could help since the man is relentless; but then again, evildoers never do stop doing evil deeds until they're 6 feet under, and even then their evil machinations live on and continue to haunt the living.

If there's anything we can do to help just let us know. ;)

Well if I ever could price things you could have bought some LOL. Seems dollar a gram for VV whites is not even worth looking at, even tho' none has ever been returned. Or they ask how many kilos can I produce so they can sell it at $1 a gram? $50,000 a 5 gallon bucket un highgraded (about 60lbs or about 136,000 cts was the last price I ever heard for volume and that was in the late 80s. Not to me of course and they turned it down (50 cents a gram) and they didn't have that much for sale. I have had a oz for 30$ free domestic shipping on the Virgin Valley Opal group on Facebook (Not his that added Claims to the name to attract buyers) for over a week with no takers, even if it was in a reply. None ever sold out of ESTY. I'm not looking forward to doing this myself as easy as it looks. OR somebody that wants in on the mining district here so I can spend their money on one. My posse is moving slow to earmark their selections and until they do.....any claim is for sale for the right price. I think this may have been what I sent Jim to work and those are unusually large from what is available

I'm purty sure that I posted these pics in the old forum. This is most of what I cut from the batch that I got from you. Of coarse many were sent back to you. Some of what I got from you I still have in rough...nothing with opal though. I tend to cut every piece that contains opal fairly quick. You can see in the second pic one of the pieces I wrapped. That is my favorite piece of the batch. Also one of my personal pieces that I wear.

Thanks. It refreshes my memory what baggie was what and that one is missing in action short of the few pics I shared already and yes probably also in the old forum. That wood is just under appreciated and the choice chunk in our case has set there for 20 years because it was just "blue" opal and not precious. I like the pattern so wahh wahh wahh. I wear my opalised wood more than my black opal core, particularly since I banged a chip off the front and have not fixed it yet.

Fixed It? Are you cutting it down to where it chipped to eliminate it, or repairing it somehow? :?:

Jim,

I feel bad for ya... I know the joy and love of cutting my opal.

Send me your address, I'll mail you an ethiopian parcel to cut for me. We'll figure out which ones you keep based on finished cuts. I can't afford $$ but I can swap a bit. This is opal I've had dry since 2009 or 2010 so it is "seasoned"

What do you think, Interested?

Yep, been busy and missing out here... Had a few moments between computers I'm rebuilding and popped in.

I thought it was a PM, BUT GUESS NOT! Lol... Problem with doing the forums on the phone, everything is so bloody small I pressed the wrong something! No worries, I'm sure Jim will know to keep his address in a PM so he isn't targeted by anyone.

Other than that, just keeping the kids in line at the house and school....

Beautiful opals KJ!
