pretty lil gem

In a pile of low grade opal I found this lil beauty! It'll be small but I should be able to cut a nice gem from this.

Good find, KJ, how big, or should I say, how small is it? :lol: It looks very promising. Do you know where it came from? :)

It's small. It Aussie but I'm going to guess it's Coober based upon the batch but I don't really know. There are a few larger pieces with mild broad flash throughout the bulk of the piece. I think those will make good carvings.

i'd love to see how it'l come out seeing that the colors is shows now are wounderfull . Good luck
