White eggs and opal

Post by PinkDiamond »

I was just going to name this thread, Unique Mexican Cantera opal, but that sounded kind of boring after my Dr. Seuss side kicked in and I thought of green eggs and ham, so I went with white eggs and opal to intrigue you and lure you in to see this puppy.

This one is 5cts, and went for all for $62. There are lines you can plainly see in the pic and video that look like surface crazing, or maybe healed fractures that may have kept the bidding down, since I saw this in OA's newsletter last week, and have been watching to see how it did, and what it went for. Has anyone ever seen anything like it?

Whoa! COOL!

Mysterious opals contain the wonders of the skies - sparkling rainbows, fireworks, and lightning, shifting and moving in their depths.

Reminds me a little of the kinds crystal opals coming out of Opal Butte, in Oregon... that is very interesting looking...I like it! I would be trying to find a way to wear it if it’s a dry specimen lol

Except for the matrix, the floating balls reminded me of Opal Butte, too.
