The colors are seen better from the stone on a frontal view, lights above & moved around for effect, i think the stone was cut, or hammered, as my stone cutter said, to get maximum weight for color viewing, there is crazing, but the effect is what i was after & the stone size is great for a ...

Ive seen the crazing & the color changing, ive got several pieces of mexican fire opal, & this is more closer to the mexican than the african i think. This is what i was after, the mexican material. The cost was not too bad, but the effect was the end result-
