Re: Blue sapphire color change...

Blue sapphire color change...

I was looking at blue sapphire and noticed an article on blue sapphire, most of this material because of the slow growth and elements of Fe & Mg grown into the stones will not glow in the UV light, in untreated material. I have 2 stones, pretty good quality, untreated & good color with no ef...

Re: Contra luz backlit pics...

The colors are seen better from the stone on a frontal view, lights above & moved around for effect, i think the stone was cut, or hammered, as my stone cutter said, to get maximum weight for color viewing, there is crazing, but the effect is what i was after & the stone size is great for a ...

Is it chrome tourmaline...

On 9/27 this year i sent a stone to the GIA for a positive identification after months of listing this material as color change chrome tourmaline, today the GIA told the jeweler they have tested the stone & of this date are very interested in further testing by others at the lab. It seems ive 's...

Re: Contro luz mex fire opal...

The stone is in the jeweler for pendent build, will have in hand @ 2 weeks, then pics will be done, i think u are asking for the light towards the bottom of the stone with the camera looking towards the stone, the light behind the stone, correct? I will give it a try & post results then, my jewe...
