e are talking @ the onyx earrings, correct? it looks as the stones are attached to the onyx on stems drilled into the stones & glued in place, if done right, very sturdy & true art-

i agree, u can see the prongs on the sides of the stone, the stones have a frame on the bottom of the stones & the frame probably has a stem that can be placed in the stone material in a drilled hole-guessing on my part. ive included pics of a lapis stone with a frame that follows the curves on ...

here is a picture of the stones in a light box, the cutting is probably part of the problem & this limits the picture quality, shrinking the image has no effect on the pic,i dont believe, ur criticisms are welcome and appreciated-

this is a single picture of red spinel flooded with white light to try to bring out the colors of the stones, a little dust shows on the stones, the inclusions show pretty good & the very slight orangy, strong red shows nicely. The camera is only part of the equation, i have the light element & the focus element getting a little more polished, the colors in this shot seem clean & the focus brings out some of the 'good' of the cuttings of the stones-my push for symmetry is always shown in my designs-stevie-
