Hi-- I think that stone was just telling you which part needed to go, and which part was your main stone. Yes, it may be a bit thin, but some are just that way. If it were my stone, I'd probably make it into a cushion cut, sort of rectangular...or a heart shape. Both of those would be possible looks...

There's a LOT of stuff I don't know yet about this piece.....like....is it going to face? and which side should I try to face? and does in fact the color go all the way through? I have some Coober Pedy rough that I plan to work on next...not done yet...lol... But, here is are three pics of it. 70 plus carats. Should be (ha ha ha) big enough for one or two stones.
